Supertuner stated that the stock 06 Apex had some lean spots when testing on the dyno. Adding more air to this already lean condition will only make the situation leaner and affect throttle response adversely.
I've only noticed it a couple times and both occurrences were under identical circumstances.
Crusing through a rough section of trail, give it a quick shot of gas to doulbe over a couple moguls, upon landing and getting back on the gas hard I noticed a slight "bog" or hesitation as though the motor is trying to turn all this air into something but doesnt have the fuel to do so.

funny you guys are mentioning lean spots,, i added fuel and notice that it loads up.. i am going to install the boomdocker fuel accelarator ,, the way i did the fuel adds it right thru the whole band,

So matt do you think the ram air kit all by itself does nothing??? No speed added or power increase!!MattZx6 said:how many languages do you want me to tell you in...i'll sell you mine in a month Heck, you can have the ram air lid as well! 8)
I had a chance to briefly run the sled with and then without the kit and there was a RPM gain...I don't want to comment on just how much as of yet because I was in a big rush and didn't get a chance to do a GOOD comparison.
I was hoping to do it this past weekend but the blizzard like conditions and fridgid temps made be choose otherwise.

Alright, now I'm confused. In your earlier posts you made it sound as if you were really happy with the clutch kit and ram air lid. Have you changed your mind about one or both of those items?

No, not what so ever. I'm VERY happy with the entire setup but you have to realize I installed BOTH at the same time...So just because the sled runs strong I cannot fairly say that the Ram air woke the sled up nor can i say the proline kit transformed it.
I have had LIMITED time to test each one independantly but not enough to come on here and state the facts.
As a COMBO I'm very happy with my setup

this past week did 500 miles with ram-air installed the first 60 to 70 miles it bogged, but after that it didn't bog at all. saw an increase of 200 rpm's, ran strong and sounds awesome, alot of people would come up to me at junctions and ask what i was running for exhaust, i'm wondering if the fuel injections re-sets itself for more fuel

I was told by Hauck that the efi could not adjust. I does adjust for temp and altitude.
