Ok would this work. You roll your sled over and the sled floods. The Float bowls empty into cylinders and because the slides are vaccum opened you are starved for air. crank the sled forever, battery drain and it takes a lot to clear it out. Or poll the intercooler, lift slides by hand while cranking to clear the sled. Thats a lot of work.

Would this work? We run boost gage and fuel reg. and extra BOV. off the taps in the carb boots, between carbs and block. What if you add a T hear and put a shut off valve. When you roll the sled open the valve to allow air to get into the cylinders. There just has to be a way to get the needed air without pulling the intercooler! I know this is jerry rigged but would it work?

I have never had to pull the inner cooler, just let it sit for 10 minutes befor you try starting it, has worked for me for two years.

Not to many thoughts on this? I know I have heard of guys taking the intercooler off to hand lift slides. I have never done it, to much when in the hills! I will experiment with opening a line to the intake boots to see if it will allow to fire. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the reply snowy1. I have done the same thing, but it would be nice if this cleaned it out faster. When stuck on a steep hill (hardly ever happens) some of us will intentionally roll the sled over to get unstuck.

I appreciate the idea but I really don't think enough air will go in the small carb boot openings to make an impact. Also, at idle our sleds have vacuum but they also actually have some + air cycling (which you can see if you have ever run your sled with IC off). which would probably counter any effort along those lines.

What if a person pulled line that ran to the carb caps and applied some vacuum in an effort to get the slides to lift all the way without pulling IC off?
