Possible group buy for LED safety lights.

Not to be the devils advocate but I have two questions:
#1 can these lights be seen competing with the head lights?
#2 will oncoming sleds have any idea what the heck these lights are for?

this along with a hand signal, should warn oncoming traffic.

like sled dog said, these will be in snogoer magazine, and with the help of the TY'ers mentioned, should be learned quickly.

Maybe something to look into would be weather these things are actually legal where you ride. I know in the vehicle act in my area states you are to place a white light to the front only and a red to the rear. I got charged $110 last season to get this thrown in my face when I had blue transparent light covers on my sled. I know common sense prevails, but many Law officers do not have common sense. Some day I’ll tell the whole story what happened to me out on the trail last season. Still foaming at the mouth over this at this point.

I'll ask again, can you even see these led's against our headlights? All of the pictures I have seen showing the led's on have the headlights off.

With nothing more than the pictures to go on myself I cant answer your question. Without one of us having one installed I cant see how anyone could answer that truthfully. I do think the headlights were off on those sled pictures because a camera will white out with headlights straight into yet the human eye will see the two quite clearly. I THINK it will not be an issue but actually give you more visability. There should be no diff between this and any motorcycle on the market from far away all you will see is the headlights. As one approaches you will see this light just as easy as you would see a bike signaling to turn left or right day or night. What is good enough for the DOT's (dept of transportation) on our highways should be good enough for our trails. IMHO

Guys here is my take on these units or something of the same.
Yes its a new idea, and in my opininon they WILL work.
Why?, Will people understand?
Well Im sure that the hand sign idea wasnt implemented from day 1 now was it?
Somebody had the idea and others followed.
As with this Im sure if you build it they will come to use it.
I totally agree that hands belong on the bars, I know im gonna hear it about this comment , but here goes.
ESPECIALLY with smaller riders ie kids and some women.
Why, because they done have enough hand strength to hold the machine straight ,paticularly if darting conditions are applied.
I know there has been a few scary moments in my own riding experiances.
Not trying to be sarcastic or judgemental, but facts are facts.

I purchased our units at the Novi show for our 2 sleds.
I figure there will be alot of people at clubhouses, gas stations, or whereever asking questions on what they are and why and if we are lucky where to purchase them.

Apexaholic do you have them installed if you do post some pitures or better yet a vid clip showing the color change and how easy it is. A vid walking around the whole sled in the daylight would answer some questions also.

I havent got my RTX yet.
And my g/fs Rev is in about a billion pieces.
Shaving her beaver, billet head, Rings ( Suprise)!!,Ripsaw track, and some other go fast goodies.
Last year she was 115 in 1000 ft, and its a 600 HO.

I will be away on business over the next coupe of days. If you guys have questions I will be happy to answer them when I can. Thank you for intrest/help

Hi Chris!!! I did get your email and think that this is a great idea...let see what the users have to say and how we want to go about a group buy and we can head in that direction.
