I have a chance to buy a 2015 viper with a MPI turbo installed. Apparently it fell off a truck and needs handlebars and controls, windshield, headlight and gauges. The plastic is scratched up, but not broke. I am told that everything is straight. Any idea on what all of this would cost to get back together? I know that it is hard to say without some decent pics, but I don't have any at this time, mostly just looking to start a discussion to see if anyone will bring up something that I may not have thought of. I have done some pricing on new parts since I can't find much used out there, and am even having a hard time finding much in the aftermarket world.
I am thinking that it would be about a couple grand to make it trail worthy, and that would include the unknowns. Has anyone else been through this?

Check Yamaha Sports Plaza for prizing on parts. They are pretty competitive on their prizes.

Keep in mind that the chassis has been around since 2012 so used parts are fairly easy to find on the cat side of things

Thanks for the info, I hit up the classifieds and quickly found a few of the parts that I would need. One more question, did the factory installed MPI turbos come with gauges? Either way, I assume that I should have a set and factor that into the rebuild. Now I just have to decide if I am going to pull the trigger.

That's allot of cash for a sled that looks twisted, skid could be bent, shocks damaged? Miles? does it run? Turbo controller? steering stem, harness ,gauges ,controlls, headlight , windshield etc..........

I don't think that the truck was moving, but the guy doesn't know a whole lot about it. It is the one that 3-up posted the link for. Apparently everything is straight on it, at least that is what he tells me. Since the seat isn't ripped, I don't think that the truck was moving. I agree that it is quite a gamble, but they are selling for almost double that price around here. The ignition is gone, and the e start switch is gone, so it is hard to say if it does run. My fear is that it fell off while being loaded onto a sled deck, and landed upside down and continued to run.

I just bought one at Sports Max...no gauges...I also just bought boost and AFR gauges...over 400 for both and an osp mount... and I got deals .

Weird that when the handlebars fall off it makes it look like the entire rear suspension is missing too
In the ad it says he found the parts for $700, so offer him his price and tell him to get the parts to you, you'll throw in $800 for his time. I bet he says no. I do think you can buy those parts for a reasonable price, they are all just standard Arctic Cat stuff. Plenty of sources for used, especially the Cat forum. But if that's all that's wrong with it, I'll be shocked. WTF is up with the suspension?

Does anyone know what one would look like with all of the air out of the shocks?
Like that.

And why would someone take the air out unless there trying to hide something, cant be good for them compressed?
Whole thing is Wierd. You can see wires were cut. Even falling out of a truck at speed you would think most wiring would be intact. The ignition switch should be fine either way. Too me it seems as if a effort was made for someone to not be able to start the sled so something could be hidden. Don't buy it till you hear it run.
