USCC Red Lake 200 crash into a fire hydrent.
I only make $600 a month, drive to college, and drive to Army reserve drill 300 mi round trip plus hotel. Parts are going to cost around $1200-$1600. If you or anyone you know would like to make a donation (parts, money), sponsor, or help me out at all so I can get back on the track befor the season is over; Please fell free! Just contact me. In Gafton my sled would not start, on the way there, I totaled my car and trailer.

Gnarly crash dude.. What was the damage? and what was caused by the fire hydrant?

just scratches on the fire hydrent, the outer part of the ski hit the side of the fire hyrent but the sled was being forced in sidway. All left side-left fox float cap bent and bottom tube bent and dent, both a-arms bent, tir rod bent, primary clutch spider broke, primary clutch bent, foot rest smashed in, tunnel and left runner board bent down, a-arms mount ripped off, brokin windshild, few other thing but cant think of them. It could ave saved the sled if the fire hydrent was not there. I held on as long as I could but relalized it was goin to hit the hydrent and would have broke my leg from the angle of approch. When I play it back on in slowmow (all 60 frams per second) you can see me lossen my crip and push of with my leg.

XC racing has no trails these are all unimproved ditches swamps and logging roads at this weekend race. There is all sorts of things than can and do pop up in these races.

The hydratns were every 1000 feet os so in the ditch for some reason.

yes i should of said course, i knew he was in a ditch, they put fire hydrants in here also, so i figured my ditch riding would be awesome, nope they didn't widen anything lol.

hey bales around the hydrents would have been . You expect racers to be going fast around there and the hyrents were to close the themarker ore the markers should have been set back a little. A electical box was on the other side but of the the right.

you had a second to save it your sled was pointing toward the clear ditch,

you have to trust in your sled but she will go where ya point it, always look for an escape route,

smaller trees are better than a fire hydrant all day long,

you'll get the hang of it, but i think cannon figured it out already when he said your sled was flip flopping,

I was going to take the high way orginaly but did not want to total a sled or a car without insurance, then the sled landed right witch I was hopping for so I can turn it right back on the path I was on. However the sled stayed in the air way to long. I to think of some pysics and came to the concltion that the front end would have missed but my rear end would have been smashed.
