I've got a PCIII and the ignition module on my Apex.
I had the thing running in the driveway and sent a map via the LCD screen when the motor died.
Ran fine before with no problems
I un-plugged the screen, the ignition mod, powered on/off, and nothing.
Sled fires weakly, and will run about 500rpm with throttle wide open for about 5 seconds beofre dying again.
The ground is good, the firmware is solid(Allen told me to reload it) I reset the PCIII also, with no luck.
I unplugged the PCIII and went back to stock and....... voila, the thing runs perfect.
ANY IDEAS???????
thanks

Just sounds like your PCIII is fried... You should have warranty?

If the plugs were fouled why would it run perfect after it was unplugged and put back to stock?

oops, I missed that part sf!! Derek, did you plug the PC back in?
Also, when the PC is hooked up, and the USB is attached to the computer, Click VIEW and then click Power Commander information. It should list your PC, hub, and timing module.
Sometimes what happens is it loses this info and it acts dead.
You will then need to re-install the firmware.

I have the same problem, after placing it away for storage I noticed it will idle poorly then stall. If I disconnect PC3 from the main harness no issueswith idleing. Did you figure out what the root cause was for your problem?

If you have a Ignition Module take and unplug the little connector in the nose of the sled by the rectifier and plug it back in just like it is stock, leave all other connectors plugged in as they are. This will tell you if it is the PCIII or the Ignition Module.
