ok, i have an evo stage 4 flash with airbox mod header and can.
i am experiencing a pretty regular popping out the exhaust when letting off the throttle at pretty much all speeds.
i have no air/fuel gauge on the sled, but i am guessing its a fuel/mapping related issue.
can a power commander be used with the evo flash to tweak it so that the popping can be eliminated?
thanks

Adding on to a tuned ECM is not something that you should have to do, but if I were to do it I would probably look to add an Autotune and maybe a POD 300 to log data. I just started farting around with the AT on My Polaris ATV this summer and it works quite nicely.

RTX which exhaust and air box mod are you running? The Evo kit or another brand.

I was running the standard viper airbox mod that opens up the air inlet on the stock box, and i added 3 - 1 inch foam filter inserts in the cover.
And evo trail can.
I spoke with evo a while back and they said it was normal and not to be worried.
It has run great all last season so im not too concerned.

Just make sure its not exhaust leak. That said I can make mine do that with the PCV. Its doing it again since 17 flash. I suspect its when the IACV opens which lessens engine braking. Glad we have 4strokes! They can take it much further as long as they don't get hot if extremely lean you will feel a dead spot.

I have a stage 4 with an Excell intake, MBRP can, straightline header and have the same problem with the popping of the exhaust. Thought it was a leak but checked it over the beginning of last season and found nothing. Not sure if it’s a problem or not soooooo I’m watching this thread closely

Had the same issue last year with exhaust popping when letting off at part throttle, modz were ulmers 3 k&n intake, slp header, sandale can, evo stage 4 flash and big venom clutch kit.
If you guys worry at all you should get a AFR guage. Really gives piece of mind and can tune how you like. Watch your coolant temp guage also if you are running lean in warm conditions coolant temp will also be higher. For me up until the 17 flash only time I had that popping was when I was leaning it out looking for power. Never hurt anything.
