Preseason inspection

Found this during my routine Inspection. Common problem? Anyone have a fix or just replace? Ty...
Inter seal still intact but just one wot pull from a bad day.

Wow looks like it was ripped and somebody tried to repair it with silicone or some type of sealant. I would replace the boot

Agree with your assessment. Only problem is, it's been mine since new. It's like the seal got super heated and turned to goo.

Have you checked that connection before? Still looks like an attempted repair job to me. if it was delivered to you that way that’s some BS

I took it off a couple years ago to access my throttle body clamp limiters (Barrels)
I just can't process me doing something that ignorant, and then forgetting about it. Lol.
I ordered a replacement from Partzilla. Let's see how long that takes. Probably should have tried CountryCat.

Being a universal part between Yamaha/Cat, I should have ordered from cat. I'll give my local dealer a call tomorrow. Mostly to see who's being catered to.

Ya, what i don't get is why nobody offers a replacement intake tube to turbo with the so called cold air intake. We plug off the roll over port and who uses the warm air port back into intake?!
