Do you need to use a clutch puller to take the primary off? I've seen other sleds where you can use "technique" to get it off without a tool. If a tool is needed any recommendations?

Yes you do.

Ya, you should be able to order one from any Kimpex dealer or Royal Distributing.

Anyone make there own? I had one for my AC that I made and worked great. Is the thread 18 x1.5?
Update, dont worry about it. Bought one, it was only $30 bucks.
