Any of you guys try the pro logger in conjunction with the gem controller on the Mpi stage 2 or 3 kits? The said you can adjust boost, and fuel on the fly. It is a bit pricey though at $700.00. Any thoughts or input

Sorry abour late reply.
Prologger is not used as a fuel controller.
Only used as gauges, boost controller, nitrous controller, or rpm activated switches.
we have developed a way to control boost on our supercharged sleds using the boost controller. You can not turn the boost up more then u have it pullied for but u can turn it down.
Say ur sled is pullied for 20 psi and u want to run 10 u can do this.
it works great for guys who want to go out and play with lots of power but drive home on pump gas and low boost.
thanks

well ended up getting the prologger from you guys at mpi. you wouldn't happen to have some better wiring instructions to hook it up on the nytro, would you? i'm not the best guy at wiring as it is, but it looks a little complicated at first glance. also was wondering what pulleys i need to run (max boost) so i can adjust it down from there. (stage 2) thanks.

Heath,
Would I get rid of all of the other controllers he has on there now, and replace it with this? I have the 02 sensor, Gem controller, ignition module, and boost gauge from what I can remember. I would be down to the Gem and prologger correct? I have a 12, and 16lb pully from you right now. So I could run the 16, and dial it down with the prologger? You just can't do the opposite right? Now guys that are doing this what are they doing for clutching? Two setups, or just picking a happy medium. Didn't know taking a 50-60HP swing like that. Thanks

We dont have any different wiring diagrams for the nytro but it u want to give me a call i can tell u what u need to do.
it is a universal device so no instructions for each application.
If u are not using boost control and using the 2 temp gauges i have a prewired harness for you.

I am very interested in the boost controller function of the prologger as I have a stage2 mpi s/c with a dyno-jet pc-3 fuel controller, a dyno-jet ignition module, dyno-jet wide band commander, and finally the dynojet lcd screen. What is the proper way to set up a boost controller with the hardware that I am using? I would like to run at 16 psi and be able to drop to 6 or 7 psi as I ride in no. Maine and finding proper octane can be a challenge. Sorry if this is a hijack. Hopefully this is a relevant question Sheetwright.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Just don't know how low you should take the pounds on astage two compared to a one? Also setting up the clutch for something like this would probably be a bit like nitrous; I would assume? With the difference of a 42-80HP swing, depending on how you set it up. Hey Heath you out there for this one???

Insane, u would have to purchase a boost controller of some sory i dont beleive dynojet has a coost controller built in there power commanders.
Sheetwright,
your asking how low of boost you need to run on stage 2 for pump gas or what?
either the stage 1 or stage 2 need to be around 7-8 psi on pump gas, and u can control this with our boost control system. As far as clutching your clutching will be a little heavy when running low boost. i would suggest something similer to a shockwave for adjusting your secondary.

Pump, gas doesn't matter so much to me, since I will have the meth. The question is, What is the recommended lowest poundage you can run on the stage two with the controller. I was told you can't go, and shouldn't go any lower then 9-10lb's on the stage two. I understand the principle of the whole thing after our last conversation. You would want to be running higher octane anyhow flipping from 16 down. Looking to see what I can take it down to on the trails if I personally feel the higher numbers are to much for the trail. Then I would push up the pounds on the straights, fields, lakes, and etc.
Not to sound like a pain and all; but I thought my typing got crazy when I was busy, or on the Blackberry Thanks for the help, and input Heath
