HOW FAR OUT WAS YOUR OFFSET ?
Bigwin said:To bad you guys are not in MusKoka. there is a poop load of snow here although it rains one day snows next. Lake Of Bays right now is slow.I rec my Proline kit yesterday.Waaaaaaaay late. I wanted to test it before heading into Quebec. When I get back . I will report. travelling with 3 other stock..GT's and 1 RT. Iam taking .8 Aluminum rivets and 2.3 steel with me. My Kit did not include either. I did notice considerable gain by changing secondary spring and shaving the helix. That put the sled into overdrive. You also have to be ontop of the deflextion, and offset... my offset was way out..Guys I just want to be the first one at the end of the lake.660 to 1000feet does nothing for me. if you lived here in the land of big iron you would know what I mean. Ps. THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT. Dam I'am banging my head on the wall.MrSled said:I dont think it will happen unless this weather changes and we actually start winter.

I'd be more than happy to test a few kits using a data acq system with gps (actual speed), jackshaft, e/g rpm and g-force sensor. From that data you can get time to speed, time to distance, actual g-force, ratio track slip, actual sled lengths @ X distance..the list goes on.
Test conditions will be groomed snow and results will be consistant. Easy to provide stability data. I think these type conditions best represents largest % of snowmobilers.
In exchange for doing this all kit suppliers must accept the results and not whine, b*tch or complain.
Also, I can run the old forge shootout quickest time setting (used stock parts calibrated for studs) as comparison of what kind of clutching you can do on a $5 budget.
Kits will be returned upon completion of the test.

Also maybe it is best to have the kits sent by a few of you customers who have already purchased these kits, then we would have results from exactly what the average consumer gets.

Bigwin, I am not Spenc. I obviously bought a kit from Spence just like you did. I just wanted to pass on my findings and comment that I was pleased with the performance of the Proline Kit. It's really too bad that certain individuals have reacted negatively to my report. Good luck with your Kits!

I f you read my post you can tell I did not publically bash him like he did to me.I knew quite well it was beyond his control on delivery. What I did want was the kit and the gear here so I could do some testing before I depart today for Quebec. This guy has to grow up .He must also think we are all naive .posing as Slightly Stock. Go Figure You owe me an apology Spenc. Bill

Lets get back on topic guys and let that nut case that you mention be gone and never mention his name again.....he is not worth talking about any further. We can add this site as one more that he is no longer welcome at based on his sales tactics.

I've been following this thread and think that Viper34's offer is about the best way to compare these kits in real world conditions that most of you guys actually ride in or care about. Sounds like he's got the snow and equipment to get it done quickly and in an unbiased way. Before we lose any more winter......
Git er done guys.
Git er done guys.
