pure logic cold start?

my sled since installing the pure logic efi controller always sleeps in the heated garage, wee i went on a trip yesterday and the sled slept outside at -25. It started right away BUT then after like 30secs started to richen itself until it died. had to unplug the fuel pump to get it started again, had to play with plugging in the and unplugging the fuel pump until the engine was a little warm or it would always run ritch to the point of stalling and not starting back again... also was heating the pure logic box with a hair dryer at the same time.... is this a common problem? my pure logic box controller is on the handlebars

My turbo apex have always been extremely hard to get started without flooding with the dobeck style chip at very low temperature (-30c range)
