Just picked up a 2011 apex and was wondering when it's running and you turn it back and forth left to right should you feel the power steering or is it only while you drive it??? Also on my cluster by the time it has eps in small letters under the time is that normal too?? Thanks!

When it's running you should feel it working, not sure about the eps signal under the time being normal or not.Just picked up a 2011 apex and was wondering when it's running and you turn it back and forth left to right should you feel the power steering or is it only while you drive it??? EPS under the display is normal. EPS is speed and load sensitive.

you only need to have the key on to feel the diffrence as long as the skis can move ie: not stuck in the ground. eps light on is a prob.

I may be wrong on the light being a problem now I cant remember but i thought it only came on when it was not working correctly. but if you put the skis on a rug so they have some resistance but not stuck in place and try to turn the handle bars and then turn on the key and try again you should notice a diffrence. thats how they showed it at the snow show when it was new.

There were a couple of times when starting out on a very cold morning that EPS didn't engage on my Apex. When this happened, I believe "EPS" would flash on and off on the lcd screen. When the motor would warm up enough, the EPS would turn on and the onscreen "EPS" would remain on.
Correction: EPS does not flash on/off on the gage. When there is an error with power steering, "EPS" will come on the screen and remain on, until the error is cleared.

With power on you should see it. Start motor and it should go away.
