Have been out in West Yellowstone breaking in the new sled. Showed up with 0 miles, now has 300. Sled is awesome overall. Suspension is great, but a bit stiff in rear. Need to adjust when I return to Wisconsin. Running at elevation and especially during break in, it is hard to tell true feeling of power. Dealer says peak rpm won't be reached until full break on and not at altitude.
1.75" track with 146" skid turns like a 120". It truly is awesome and unbelievable. Great trail sled. Have done some off trail, but the weight is definitely there. Haven't seen another Apex here and very FEW 4 strokes for that matter. Was able to get up Lions Head a bit with it, but was a struggle
Can't wait to get it back on the flatlands at lower elevation.

Awesome sled you have there...
A Yamaha rep told me the new track pitch makes these sled turn like shorties, guess he was right...
Only if they would get rid of that air shock..
Happy riding...

Your a man of your word ,great to hear some good feedback. How do the ski's handle and about how fast is the 6000 rpm break in speed on the trails 35 to 40 ??Have been out in West Yellowstone breaking in the new sled. Showed up with 0 miles, now has 300. Skis in my opinion handled great! Zero darting and no pushing in corners. And that's with stock carbides. Speed at 6 grand was around 40. I did crack it above that a time or two of course. Finished the trip with 454 miles. Sled continued to build power.

I've got one too, same colors. Front shocks are 50 psi. rear shock is 110 psi. I rode it at 50 psi. and 120 psi. Liked the front but the back was just a bit too stiff. Only riding trails in Michigan. I guess I'm an old softie.... ha......

You put the rear shock all the way down to 120psi? I had the recommended psi of 250 in and it was way too stiff!

Sled was delivered to me with 240 in rear. I could barley move it so for the first ride I adjusted it to 170. Still to hard. Went down to 150, then 135, then 120. 120 was nice but a bit too firm. So it sits at 110 waiting for me to take it out again. It is getting very close to where I will like it.

Finally got to ride new sled , rode 563 miles this w/end adjusting sled ride a couple of times . I have the xtx model so front spring setting was changed to 9 1/4 length , replaced stabilizer w/13mm bar , 6 inch carbide on inside of ski's ,rear shock pressure down to 170 but that I'm going to have to adjust some more it's way to difficult out on the trails to adjust with the snow buildup on the shock. The sled is great ,handles good with plenty of power , throttle has hair-trigger response. Ski's are pretty good no darting but they do push in corners a little ,I will try longer carbides, if that doesn't work prob change ski's. Sled is at dealer for 500 mile check up and oil & chaincase fluid change.I do think they should have installed a coil over shock in skid, if that shock fails on the trail I'm screwed, that I may replace anyway.Have been out in West Yellowstone breaking in the new sled. Thanks 1320! I have my skid shock down to 185 and now and may have to go lower as well. I didn't feel the pushing in corners much, but that may be expected with that long of a track. My friend actually reported that the Float 3s on the front actually took the stutters better than the Polaris Pro S 800 and XRS Ski Doo 800 we had along with their clicker gassers. Finally got to ride new sled , rode 563 miles this w/end adjusting sled ride a couple of times .
