Done... Never will run studs again...
If you cant handle the corner slow down..Its a trail not a race track..

This is true with people thinkin they are only ones on the trail, but that still goes back to you should expect it. obviously there are other people out there so you should be able to handle the sled without studs in it. but the is just my opinion...

I don't really see the logic here. Why would you chose to be less safe? Or worse yet try to justify the FACT that you are less safe by saying that people with studs are in some way more careless in their riding. It's like buying snow tires...it's safer.

For me (and most people I would guess) it's not about cornering...it's about traction...going, stopping and manouvering. Maybe it's just different riding areas or something...but...here we have many lake trails and the portages between the lakes get icy. That makes climbing off the lake or decending to the lakes difficult without studs. To tell me that you and your sled are immune from laws of physics....well...I really think you're asking for trouble ;).

What are the downside of studs? I ran 96 on my RX and now 96 on my Apex...just for safety. If you ride as easy as you insinuate than you'll never rip one out, 96 is cheap, doesn't add much rotating weight...

I managed to fill out the survey too...:).

my dad stoped short in front of me last year (he has 144 studs) the trail was hard packed and by the time i noticed he was stoped i had no place to go but the back of his sled or the trees I chose the trees... so this summer i got 96 for safety

What I like is that they are actually considering an option for the buyer!

An option for different skis to complement the package would be icing on the cake. ;)!

Done!

Have them for safety.
Couldn't care less about acceleration with them, only care about predictable tracking on ice.
Definitely beats rubber on ice. ;)!

Im not saying people with studs are more careless by any means. and i understand people want them for better stopping and what not. all im saying is that you should still be able to handle the sled without them thats all. its kinda like people with 4wd in the winter, they think they can stop because they have it, therefore relying on it, im just saying you should not rely on the studs to get you out of trouble, have to be able to handle the sled either way.

Me personally, i ride extremely aggressive trail riding, and i like being able to throw the sled into a corner and control it, not have the studs push me as i have heard they do. but thats just my opinion and riding style. everyone has there own!!
