Finally got to race another apex..

My sled : 2006 apex gt.. 108 1.450 studs.. Engine is all stock 10,600 miles, cobra track, 23t top gear, white secondary spring and attak helix..

My friends sled: 2006 apex RTX, air fuel controler, clutch kit, 144 studs on a ripsaw track sled has 4000 miles on it.. He had the floats let all the way down..

It was a 300ft race

First race.. i beat him by a half a ski..

Second race it was dead even the whole way..

3rd race he caught a patch of ice and i smoked him..

Guess my sled isnt as slow as i thought.. for having that many miles she still beats most sleds..

NOTE: I raced a modded skidoo XP600 and it was dead even every race.. Man those sleds are crazy fast when in the right hands..

I wouldn't get too excited running 300'. why not run 6,7 800, or even a 1000' and you will have a real idea of how your sled stacks up.

It's probably a typo.

Welter,

I just did some work on my nephews 08 Rev XP TNT and I was amazed how hard that sled pulled.
Light as a feather too. Very impressed.

300 feet was how long the track was..

From my experience.. if a sled is next to me at 300 feet its gonna stay there..

Especially against a 600, 300 feet should not be an ideal race for you. If you can't pull on a 600 after that something seems wrong.

My buddies stock 600 etec would always give my 07 RTX a run to 90. Those sleds are crazy quick when set up correctly.

It wasnt a stock sled.. IT was piped and clutched and well setup.. this guy also has a 1200cc 140hp motor in a firecat that runs crazy fast

Now that has to be a typo....1200cc and only 140hp? My F7 made 147hp with a pipe/y-pipe...you must mean 240hp Welt...right?
