Before I install the coil spring rail mounted scratchers I was hopeing for find a picture of a good spot. I searched many posts but couldn't find anything that hit the nail on the head.
I definitely want them on the rails. I read the Idler wheel adapter bends that RSI or Yami sells. Basically a bolt I guess. Read Pioneer had a mount for the Idler wheel but I can't find it at his site. I emailed him this morning. Problem is I want to mount it as far as possible of course. Tight up there in front.
Any ideas would be helpful before I start drilling.

I would also like to know where the best place to mount these would be. Pics would be awesome too!

I mounted mine on the inside of the ski bolt, works awesome! I mounted them there because the only spot on the skid that I could see enough room to mount would be over halfway back, thought to myself, that would be a good spot to mount them for my buddy riding his Apex behind me, he would benifit from them more than I would, lol!!

I ended up installing them just behind the second wheel. There is a bolt there that joins the layers of rail. I drilled it out to 3/8". I took the 2nd wheel off and drilled a 1/4 " hole for the spring end. The spring end hole goes right near the V in the rails. But I had to bend the spring straighter to be able to hook it onto the rail behind the Arm bolt. My wifes LTX was totally different.

Ranger 1, anyway you could get a pic of where they are installed? Im not too familiar of where your talking about. Thanks!
