I was messin with my 06 RTX today and trying to get the belt up on the secondary.
Im not even flush with the sheeve .
I have 2 thick shims and one thin one in there.
Should I give up?
Belt measured 34.8 mm

I have a thick washer and the stock thin ones...i start with new belt with thin stock washers..then after about 100 miles i notice i need to replace the thin ones with thicker ones i have.....then after that i was at 1000+miles ,season was over....I got a new belt now and back to square one.

you might consider getting a new belt...although i know you can run these longer ....i dont like the idea of more then 2 washer shims for deflection.

I have a new belt, but it seems to sit even lower than the used one.

that is ODD....new belt is wider as it is not worn at all....and will sit HIGHER in secondary.

most sleds with new belt and stock thin shims in back of secondary ,will have belt sitting just above secondary.

if you like to keep your belt flush with the top at all times, buy the belt deflection tool that bolts to your secondary and you can adjust it whenever you want without taking off the secondary..
