Well I looked into buying a front end kit for my nytro and based on my evaluation of the nitro and my plans for it I went with z bros, 43" kit.

To keep my back to back runs as real as possible I reused the same skis and banged up runners, and I did not install the 128 track yet. I kept it 121.
I did 7300 miles on a stock Nytro and I seriously think that most people just want to buy a sled out of the box and it work perfectly, and to me Yamaha has never really been that manufacturer, their valving is always too stiff , and what I'm always really buying is that precision manufacturing and reliability. Anyway I'll keep this on track. I spent a total of a couple days setting up the suspension in my nytro to work for me, it has always been good after a ski change and some suspension adjustments but has never been perfect, it always lacked a little in the extreme situations, at speeds most say you shouldn't ride anyway. I ride hard I have always been able to keep ski lift in check and even use it to my advantage to set up the next corner but what really bothered me was the bombed out trail at high speeds the bump steer among a couple other things would really freak me out sometimes and would slow me down. It was especially noticeable when riding with a couple of my racing buddies.

Here's what really drove me crazy about the nitro and it really boils down to bump steer.
Coming into a corner whether it be smooth or bumpy if I pushed it too hard or turned the skis too much I would lose the bite I had and couldn't hold the desired line.

The other scenario was high speed moguls/whoops. I would battle the sled to keep it in line. It always felt on the edge , twitchy , and sometimes I couldn't predict what was going to happen.

Well I'm truly happy to report these issues are almost non existent , the sled just turns better, I can hold my line I can even accelerate though a long sweeping turn without wondering over , seriously try doing that on a stock front end. The big bumps are now fun again I can go straight turn over them and I just feel more confident. It's especially noticeable while riding with my riding partner on our closed trail mogul mountain trail, it's now no problem to keep him at bay on this part of our ride, so much so that he said its noticeable before I even told him I changed anything
I feel confident in the sled now I'm happy with the sled now and I hope adding a 128" track doesn't change anything for the worst. I really wish I found this kit sooner so many times I buy a product and the promise of performance never gets delivered. Z bros didn't say much and I'm ecstatic with the results.

Here's some basics on the setup
Camber 2.2* negative
Toe out 03/16"
Slp slt skis shaper bars
Limiter strap 2nd hole
Soft on the block, and no plastic transfer stops
Front shocks @66lbs (highest ever run happily, I was nervous about my valving being too soft because the added leverage but damn it feels right on)shocks valved progressively for me @170 no gear

All in all I'm just letting you guys know what I've done and what I feel in the sled ,I'm not here to say who's better and who's not I don't give a #*$&@ , I reached out to a few manufacturers and i narrowed it down to two pretty different kits. The other never got back to me about his product and Laramie @ zbros did , I payed full price for my kit and z bros has no idea I wrote this so take it for what it is... All I can say is I wish id done it sooner. I was about to buy a viper and start all over with engine/clutch tuning I'm so glad I didn't for now, maybe I can wait until Yamaha does something different or maybe I'll just keep the nytro and buy an additional sled to ride the deep stuff (I've been wanting to explore the mountains in my riding area and I can't get the shorty Nytro up there lol)

Now I'm off to go find some parts for the rush 800 with 3k miles that blew up yesterday :4STroke:

I was also interested in the Zbroz kit but after hearing so much about the lower ball joint failures I stayed away. I'm not sure why they mount the ball joint with all the weight on the stud and nut. It should have been turned over so the weight is on the ball. I'll be trying an aftermarket set of arms very soon and hopefully they'll also make some of the improvements you describe.
