ebay has 7" coolers that can be installed inline on a 1" tube. It's $300 for a rear OEM cooler, and $50 for this one.. Has anybody installed them? They are probably a new product, but I wondered if anybody knows anything about them. We don't need too much, to cure the occasional temp light.

put the rear cooler in. look at some of the salvage yards also there is a part # to buy them at a better price. give port a call

Added a cooler to my LTX 40th, worth every penny. Never see any overheat lights. The LTX cooler is much larger than the short track one. Noticed the 2011 cooler on the new 128 is large as well, its the way to go.

I read up on problems before purchasing my 08 Apex. Overheating was one of the issues that concerned me. I had a rear cooler installed by the dealer at the time of purchase, and I have never encountered an overheat condition. I cannot speak for running the sled without a rear cooler, but I can say my machine has not had any overheating issues with the rear cooler installed.

Thanks Shide

I called Port again. For some reason Kevin thought I had a long track.

I've got a cooler ordered.

I think that the long track coolers are 300 and the short track coolers are 149

I think I just might do the same, my overheat light comes on sometimes when my nose cone bag is installed and full. The cooler will help.

I ran a $2 red light to my fan so I know when my engine starts to heat up now, rather than waiting until the temp light comes on. Now I know when the fan is on and I know Im getting hot. Gives me a change to throw some snow on the running boards to cool it down if needed...

You won't regret spending the money, ticks me off that you needed to pull over and pile snow on the running boards, been there done that. The rear cooler fixes the issue and from 2009 its standard go figure.

Also check your coolant! I found on my 06, 08,10 sleds to be straight antifreeze. I used water wetter to cut it back to 50/50.
