Noticed my rear heat exchanger has a small leak just below the jack shaft bearing on the clutch side. Wondering if anyone has removed the heat exchanger from below or must the engine come out. I'm replacing the track this year so I'll have lot's removed on that end.
I think as long as you support the engine in back it can stay in. Never did it myself though.

So yes it can come out from the bottom. Had to raise the back of the engine to get the chain case side motor mount by the starter. I'm only 2 bolts away from separating the skid from the font end so to put it back in I'll probably have to separate it just a bit not to have to force it in. Now time to try and get some parts. Not a small job but very doable! Helps that I'm quarantined in the garage! Have lot's of time to do the job. Stay safe everyone!!
Good to know. Take some pics if you can. I am doing a tunnel change this spring so not as bad but really interested in this since after the tunnel change the exchanger will be the only original part of my main chassis left!
