I have seen many threads relating to overheating (Apex GT) and the installation of a rear heat exchanger to solve the problem. I am prepping my sled in advance of winter and have thought about this as a good option, but cant seem to find it on the Yamaha online parts look-up. The part number listed on prior threads does not get a hit either. Is the number superceded or maybe the part discontinued? I saw a thread where the part was $42???

I know they make one for the Attak, there are two different heat exchangers. One for 121 and other is for the 136 inch sleds. I believe one of the advertisers on here sells them, it could be oem or aftermarket. plowking

I made my own, just because I had the material. Anyway ulmer has some as well.

Rx1-running board heat exchanger and protectors from a rx-1 front exchanger....little cutting welding and bolting...DONE

I did order mine from my local dealer also for the same amount. He did state however that the part was discontinued but still available from the warehouse. I dont know how true that statement was. My question about this to him was answered maybe a newer or updated part will be available to replace this one???
