Has anyone used bruces rear mount radiator for the apex/attak? He has it listed in his 06 cat. for 57 bucks i think thats what it said,if it really is that cheap,it may be cheap insurance for those long lake runs back to back when your engine temp light comes on,so how about it,anyone installed one yet,and how well does it help..

I have the regular rear cooler like the RX-1 have. They work great on the lake even if it is glare ice because the studs kick up so many ice chips.

Hi charged i think the one from pioneer is alot like the one you have on your apex, and i think i will install one on mine,my only concern is the abality to be able to eat a stud,as i had one go thru my back tail piece on my attak!Charged RTX said:I have the regular rear cooler like the RX-1 have. Is this the one you are talking about? This is off Pioneers website
When increasing the HP of your sled or riding in marginal or hard packed snow conditions a rear heat exchanger is a must! The stock Viper cooling system is marginal in its ability to cool even a stock engine, in poor snow conditions all models tend to be inadequate, causing over-heating. By installing our Rear Heat Exchanger the systems ability to dissipate heat is greatly increased, allowing more than adequate cooling on both modified engines and in poor snow conditions. The PP Heat Exchanger easily installs directly in place of the rear cross tube for a factory like installation.
P-E101 Viper Rear Heat Exchanger $79.95
P-E102 4 Stroke 121" & 144" Track $57.95
P-E103 4 Stroke 136" & 151" Track $117.95

Rear heat
I just look at the site and it looks identical to the Yamaha one. I have put one in the APEX and used the rear heat exchange protectors from an SRX to protect it from the studs in the track.
I'd go with the one that is cheaper to buy.... I do remember that Bender had bought theirs directly from Yamaha for the Vipers a few years ago if that means anything... I bet they all come from the same place..

Probably a Yamaha heat exchanger.I put the yamaha exchanger on my ApexGT last year and had no more problems with overheating. It also seems to keep that big ice buildup in the back to a min also.
