does anybody know if the 2014 Arctic Cat RR Fox Zero-X adjustable piggy-back rear arm shock # 2704-488 is compatible with 2014 sr viper deluxe . I just picked up my new sled from the dealer and blew the stock shock within 10 miles not happy .... hopefully it was a bum shock anyone else having any problems with them ..
The rr has a piggyback reservoir. So no. Not compatible. Won't fit any 129's without mods. I haven't checked the lengths to confirm but a 2012 AC 129 rear shock will definitely fit. Sno pro for stiffer or LXR for softer. They were still real Foxes . If wanting a rezzy shock try HyGear for Axis. They sell a kit to make it fit the 129.

That should be covered under warranty. Get the new stocker, and see how you like it before making a change...

Our 2014 LTX DX has 1590 miles with no shock problems front or rear. I think that eventually I'll upgrade the shocks with ELKA's.
Our 2014 LTX SE has fewer miles but hopefully by the end of the year I'll have Hygear Axis Pro's all around. Front shocks are installed rear shocks and spring are on order and hopefully they will be delivered before Christmas.
Usually my wife hates changes but she is really intrigued by the suspension updates from Hygear so perhaps when she sees and feels the change on the SE she will be receptive to the ELKA's!
