We have the " race" suspension ... the QS3R are it. It's just the bag we don't have. We must save all informations as possible and keep it secure. With these, we will have some proof to face off yamaha

Yes racing does help to make the consumer product better. But what bothers me is they are making out one of the reasons to get the LE over the se is that the suspension is beefed up. Not the socks. The shocks are listed as a different feature. If they were the whole difference from the regular suspension, they should have been included as part of that feature
Don't get me wrong I'm sure it will be an amazing ride. But when things are advertised as being a higher premium over the std. model and then not actually being there is 100% not right and misleading.

The QS3R is not the "race suspension". It is a "Shock Package" This is as far as I will get into this here as there is another topic talking about this. But FYI:We have the " race" suspension ... the QS3R are it.
- NEW Fox QS3R with Kashima Coat Shocks
The three-stage Fox QS3 shock gets an upgrade for this premium model. The FOX high-pressure gas shock features a piggyback chamber to deliver reduced fading, exceptional control, and three easy to adjust compression damping performance settings as well as a wide-range rebound clicker adjuster so you can quickly and easily adjust the ride to conditions and riding preference. Premium Kashima coating fights friction for smooth shock function. - Dual Shock SR 137 Race Rear Suspension
The drop-link style Dual Shock SR 137 Race rear suspension is a competition-grade strengthened version of the standard Dual Shock SR suspension package. It is the next generation result of years of punishment and development in snocross and cross-country competition. This “crossover” suspension offers premium bump compliance and control on trail, additional bump bridging capabilities thanks to its stretched length, and additional floatation and traction for occasional off-trail use. The SR 137 is a “coupled” suspension that utilizes a unique “sliding” front arm mount. With up to half-inch of movement at the front arm “slot”, the system allows the suspension to deliver controlled (reduced) ski-lift during acceleration while still retaining front arm bump compliance.
The artic cat 9000 RR have the QS3R suspension shocks packages for 2017. The packages where on 2016 RR was too hard and nobody have liked. So, the new " race " version is the upgraded QS3R package for 2017.
I know what you are saying. Really will have to look carefully to compare the two. Heck could even be different metals like Polaris does. Chromoly vs regular steel. Looks same. I just am not sure without knowing more. If you have a caliper or mic measure the rails on your two sleds. Maybe they are thicker? Compare those upper shafts. Can just look at those. If all that is the same and its the same with RR and Factory XC sleds it will be a interesting race season.Yes racing does help to make the consumer product better. front and rear arms are completely different on race opposed to standard, rails might have different holes cut in them from ltx to rtx also arms along rear shock should be made out of alum rather than stamped steel. I wish I would have taken pics of my 16 before, going to look at local arctic dealer this week he just got a few 9000 in see if they are different
This is the pic in Brochure but its obviously the 129" looks like the shocks and tunnel is what they consider Race. Maybe even 129 wont have the skid in pic? We will see.

That is the suspension I was told in march that would be under my ltx le only longer that is not the supension that is in my sled.
I hear you. Man I hope the 129's got it so somebody is happy. Guys every year something like this happens. Every year we ask for better communication. Every year they lose some Spring buyers because of this.

I will hold back in speaking about the 4 skid wheels in that pic till I see an SE. If the SE only has them that is 1 change from 129 SE to LE. From what I have seen of the 137's they have the normal single wheel per side.

Does anyone have a copy of that image of the sled with all the arrows pointing to all the features of it? The linked ones Mr. Sled posted from Yamaha's FB are deleted. Yamaha trying to cover their @$$es?

Trust me, their assess are covered when they print "LE models shown are prototypes. Final production may be different" at the bottom of the Spring Power Surge brochure. Also states " specifications are subject to change" Yes it sucks but that's why the corporate lawyers make them print that. ALL MANUFACTURERS do this not just Yamaha and not just the snowmobile industry. Good discussion, very informative but we'll get nothing from Yamaha for it.

What suspension do you have under your LTX LE? You have the qsr3 shocks in the rear, but they have put the standard skid in? Does the cross shaft look like it's standard or is it the RR shaft? Mine isn't in yet but I am not liking the sounds of all these changes.
