rear supension on ltx le

Well after looking @ cat's site here's my take on things.

First to tell if the pic is a 129: the cutouts in the skid at the back have 3 long oval cut outs (_______) (___) (_______), below them are some triangular ones
The 137: has 2 kind of / rounded slash cut outs with more squareish ones below.
When I talk about 'the wrong pic' I am referring to the pic they show when you CLICK on a model.

All the 137's there have 4 inside wheels and 2 outside (one per side out) total: 6 Note some of the 137's have the wrong pic of the suspension.
>Possible reason? The 137 has a lower return slope to the drivers vs a 129 not requiring the extra outside wheel?
>There are no 'extra' wheels even on the RR. So the only thing I can think is Yamaha cut and pasted their LE specs for the 129 over to the 137 ad's (see 129 info below)

All the 129 Cat's have 4 outside wheels and 2 inside (2 per side out)*Except I think 3 of their 129 models. Note the pic of the suspensions for the 129's is the wrong pic the correct one is the pic they have under the Tcat.
>All the 129 Winders show only 1 outside wheel per side **Except the 129 LE. It shows 2 out per side. When someone gets a 129 LE Please let us know how many wheels you have outside.
>If the 129 LE does have 2 out it really didn't get anything 'special' compared to any of the 129 Cat's. Rather anyone with a 129 winder or viper non LE is getting screwed with only 1 wheel per side. vs all of the cat's having 2 lol.

The RR does not list the suspension/rails or anything as being a premium over the other models. (It only talks about the shocks).
>So Cat does not have a different suspension system on the RR, only diff shocks?
>Yamaha said we were getting beefed up....... But it does not even exist?

Cat lists the lightweight brake as being Std. on their RR. The Tcat says accessory.
>So yes we got that. But all the Winders list as having the lightweight drilled brake. So it's std on all of them and not some special LE thing.

So in the end my take is that if you ordered a:
RTX LE: you got extra wheels, diff shocks and a heated seat (you are missing the nonexistent beefed up items and the goggle bag) Hard to count a heated seat as they have that on the DX

RTX SE: you are missing 2 wheels vs the Cat models (so you are getting what was actually advertised)

LTX LE: you are getting um the same thing as the the DX but with better shocks, and a lower windshield. (you are missing the nonexistent beefed up items, extra wheels and the goggle bag) So for your spring order (talking sled) you for $1200 msrp got shocks and a small shield. Is it a good deal because of the shocks? Yes. Is is anything like what was advertised....Nope.

Ok I need a nap now LOL. If I missed anything I apologize. This is not easy to figure out.

This annoys me to no end , Im trying to be polite about it .
The goggle bag and no HD skid or RR as it was called in the beginning

Even more so that they don't own up to it. They STILL stand by and keep advertising it? Come on Yamaha at least own up to it....... I guess they just think Oh hey they will never know. Kinda like cat and having their most costly model have a lesser shock package then the cheaper RR. But at least they did advertise THOSE specs.

Do all Winders get standard 3 yr warranty or only spring orders?

Saw this on FB: "I got a reply fr customer service the Goggle bags will be sent out by the end of October and they are looking into the suspension not being rr and extra wheels! Maybe they will make this right".
I doubt anything will come of the suspension, but at least we might get the bag.

Oh boy. Can you take a pic of it for us? I will look again but I'm almost positive the specs list the lightweight drilled one :|

Edit: just looked it says lightweight drilled rotor. Man can't they get anything right.

if you dont have that...thats easy for them to fix...dealer swap under warranty

wow. The plot thickens... I would however call Yamaha and tell them how you feel about their mess up. When specs change you would think the description would also change. How many months does it really take to fix them?

Normally the SE and DX models do not get a drilled race rotor.
Yea. I knew it sounded too good to be true.

It's sad to see no matter what model someone chose to order it will be delivered falsely advertised. I can see giving a company slack on a mess up here or there. But man; they really did a # this year for the misprints.

P.S. the 50th will bring a new sled that will be dubbed "The Mystery Machine"... Oh nevermind that was this year :o|

Well hers my spin on the whole thing....they shut down Yamaha usa months before...I'd guess out went employees in hmmm say marketing...Who were responsible for literature and specs on the same (I always thought the race rotor was for the le models) if you were being fired would you care if you knew the specs were screwed up our ever maybe screwed them up intentionally...also fired...parts and accessories people I'm sure...maybe that's why we still have nothing available...the car parts and accessories book is loaded and ready...the yam book looks thrown together and has nothing...generic photos of windshields...some on the wrong model...

I'm sure many who were fired were bitter and we're in the cross fire..

That said...a brake rotor is nothing that can't be easily swapped by a dealer...yam will most likely do that...and the bag...either supply or substitute...it's the suspension to me that's the real problem...the only solution I can see...provide an extra warranty coverage..
