2006 Nytro
I lost my center cylinder connecting rod bearing last year due to a low oil condition. Shut down as soon as I heard knocking so no case damage.
I just finished rebuilding the engine with new crankshaft and other parts. Put the engine back in the machine and re-connected all of my electrical connections. Nothing happens when I turn the key to the on position. When turned to the crank position, the engine does crank. I even thought the ECU was bad and bought a salvaged one. None of the relays above the right side foot well are coming on. I have checked the main fuse and the 6 smaller fuses. None are blown. I have the factory manual and have followed the trouble shooting steps. No luck so far.
The last time I had the machine running is 1 month ago just before I pulled the motor out. Started fine and everything operated.
Wondering if someone can offer some suggestions.

Start with the basics. Is your kill switch up? Battery dead or damaged (happened to me during my rebuild)? Try another battery? That is the extent of my electrical knowledge. I hope you find the issue quick!

Have you checked for obvious things like a missing ground? How far does power make it through the system?

Yes, I'm fairly a fairly advanced electrical trouble shooter and know how to use a multi meter. The battery is at 12.6 volts and I am able to crank the engine so I think the battery is good. The grounds seem to be good. Tested the kill switch, key switch, and the three relays and they all test good.
It seems like the ECU is not sending a 12v signal to any of the relays that which would tell them to come on.

Did you try your old ECU?

I've had the old ECU back in a couple of times and no luck. I think that I've got two good ECU's. There aren't that many connections and their all pretty obvious so I can't believe that I have something connected wrong but I've been around long enough to have been wrong before.
Has anyone had a bad rectifier/regulator that caused nothing to happen when turning the key to the run position? I doesn't even seem to be a part of the ignition circuit so I'm pretty sure that's not my problem.

I found that I have power to the ignition circuit so I decided to check for spark. I have spark so I am proceeding with initial start-up of the motor and will hope that the other circuits come to life once the machine starts. Update until problem is solved.
