A couple rides in low snow and 700 mi. have my Phazer's sliders at 10mm, especially right at the bend. What's the easiest way to get them off the rail? Can I leave the skid frame in the sled?
They do last a long time right at 10mm.Might want to wait and see.
Yes leave skid in.Lift up back end, remove screw at front of slider, pull slider back and through a window about 2-3" and then using reverse or even just turning track by hand on secondary go backwards and track will peel the slider right off.Do same for other side.Clean rails well, file burrs, lube rails/window with WD40 or like and slide new slides on through window.Loctite the screw being careful not to cross thread it.

Thank you for the quick, detailed response.
What's the easiest way to slide the hi-fax back the first few inches before pealing them off with the track?
If I'm already at ~10mm, is there anything left? I'd hate to ruin the rails. It's only that worn at the front idler wheel. I'm think about taking some pre-load off the front shock, and/or tightening up the limiter strap one hole. I could use a little more front ski bite, and I was hoping that might also help the wear issue with the hi-fax a little.

Thats what I did. I have no reverse, but a screwdriver and rubber mallot help get it the first few inches. I did mine on the trailer-made it a little easier (not on your knees). If you have the time, let the wd-40 soak in good; maybe spray it down good a let it sit for a day or two-my 2 cents

I heat tampered my slids! There is a tool the make the romoves and install slids o most sleds. IT it has a hook and metel wight that slids on a rod inducing force.
Always spray w white grease before install, makes removal easier too!!!
