Last sled that I know submerged ended up blowing up because of rod bearings.
One other one had stuck rings because of rusting, lost compression!
I would plan on a complete tear down and rebuild if I bought it.
Bearings and head would be areas of concern. You can use electical cleaner and clean most electrical up. Fuel lines and oil lines flushed, new bearings and back in business..hopefully!
Price would have to be right to purchase it. If you dont want it...call me!

Its a nice looking sled, but I would plan on tearing it down completely. Just think you can have a '06 attack on here for under $7000.00. So I would say the price cant get much higher then it is and still be worth it..IMO.
Also, fill that motor with oil and turn it over a couple times. Let it sit for awhile. No matter if you are going to take your chances or rebuild it!

Then after weighing out the worst case send me a PM. My 07 Attak struck a deer last week with 180 miles, or so, on it. I think my insurance company will be totalling the sled. If they do, I''l own it and likely be parting it out.
I read about this.
How was your son after?
Too bad he got shipped to Iraq instead of Alaska.

Thanks! He is fine.... not even sore today. Amazing how the young ones bounce back from something like that. If it were me, I think i'd be feeling it for months...(OK years!)
As of last night, He still has not received his orders.... so Alaska or Germany are still not out of the question. Wherever he is sent, God is with him and so will our prayers!

I buy flood cars and rebuild them. Sort of a hobbie for me. You have to take eveything apart; guages, switches, anything that has moving parts and clean and lube them. Like everyone is saying here, the big question is if the motor was running. I usually drain the oil/water, pull out the spark plugs and load up the cylinders with wd-40 or pb blaster and let it sit for a day, then slowly turn the motor by hand. If the price is right, I would do it.
I have a Mercedes CL600 that was a flood car. I put two connecting rods in it (bent). The interior didn't get wet. I have $25k total in it. The book is $70k. I drove it for the last 10 months with no problems. If it's done right it could be as good as new.
My two cents
