I guess what makes it more difficult is what new sleds are going for. When you can get a brand new viper for around $11,500, and a left over 2013 apex is about the same price it makes people think. If the viper is for you great deal. If not you will end up buying a great sled in an older platform for the same price. Which that sled won't hold its value as much because in two years it will be replaced by the new yamaha 800 model. So if you are a rider who wants 800+ power you have only a few choices. Keep your sled till the new 800 model comes out and watch yours drop huge in value, sell now for a little lose and ride a viper or a competitors sled, or just buy a newer apex and be happy with the quality. Dealing with the fact that others have the trendier newer ride. Hard decisions
