resetting fault codes 2019 SRX

My speed sensor sealant let go on my last ride in March,so once I was back home I cleaned up the sensor and the pocket in the chaincase cover,applied new RTV and stuck it back in.The code was still showing up until I stored the sled for the summer so I pulled the battery and left the sleds electrical sit dead all summer. Yesterday I was curious so I put the battery back in and fired the sled up.The SD42 code is still there. Is there a way to manually clear these codes? Can the speed sensor be tested to make sure it isn't bad?
