riding without control rod... how bad is it ... really?

ok now with that being said ....... weve replaced the control rod . set to factory spec. set the front limit strap right in the middle.

as its ridden an occasional solid clunk is heard and felt up in front of the tunnel. if the front arm was broke or breaking would it be like in your face " hey buddy you broke something" ?

upon inspection we saw that the stud backers and track were beatin up the monoshock. the tunnel protectors are to short in the back .

we got this sled and have put 250 miles on it 200 of those were with a broken control rod. it was broke before we got it and none of us spotted it . we just thought it was just a nasty wheelie animal.

rides totally different .but has an unnerving clunk now and again a few times in an hour over rough terrain. ive grabbed and shook every component with no results .

also...how do i set this up to get the wheelie monster back with out pulling the control apart ...and having to buy another one from lane

The control rod clunks under certain conditions...and if you don't know what it is it sounds like something has gone horribly wrong. It's normal.

A broken front arm you would have noticed when you intalled the control arm.
