Riser block for rtx

I'm thinking about installing a 2 inch riser block on my 07 rtx. Does anyone know if a straight riser will still work with the plastic crome cover. And can i get one that doest need the pivot riser. Are cables fine for reach with just 2 inch. Thanks for any info.

If you don't want it to pivot, yes you can still get one...Powermadd is a good choice. Not sure if it will still work with the chrome plastic piece, but I'm sure you could make it work. And yes the cables will be fine with only a 2 inch additional length riser block.

went with apex mtn riser block on my 07 rtx

just ordered an apex mtn riser block...its around 2 inches taller than rtx
and 4 longer bolts will be needed
its on the yamaha website in the parts catalog under apex mtn
im new to yamaha and 4 stroke...made the move from machz
i did learn somewhere here on this site about this dealer
they have been the cheapest on yamaha parts

Search for a 2-inch Rox riser. It attaches right to the top of your stock riser and allows you to pivot the top. I just ordered one for my 07 Apex GT. You can get a 2-inch or a 3.5 inch. They run for about 75 US. Nice product. You can choose a custom color also. And you are able to use your stock yamaha pad with a little bit of adjustment. If you live in canada i know of a good plave to buy one in Ontario. Jord

I tried back in the fall, they told me the Canadian Distributor was located in Alberta.

I got mine from Prescott, Ontario from the link below. I searched around and i found them in the US for around $75. But by the time you add the exchange rate and shiping and duty fee's your better off to buy it in Ontario. Great customer service. Can't go wrong. Jord.

I replace my riser block with Rox 7" I have the stock block if anyone is interested. Then you could cut it down to 2" or have 12" of riser total.. Just need longer bolts.

Nope, I raised them up to about 6-3/4 right before they are tight. I could squeeze out the extra 1/4 but dont want to push it. I can turn both directions without cables tugging.

Either the guys putting on the 2" rox on top of there 6" stock riser is rotating them forward a good 1" or more. Or they are finding slack in the cables from someplace. I think that otherwise longer cables would be needed...IMO
