so i decided im going to keep the nytro for at least another year, i was contemplating what to do since im now at the point where i need a track, fix the oil tank, and and change the drivers.
anyway ive decided to order the start suspensions 128" brakets, what i have not decided on is the track for the riding i like to do, i do alot of long distance fast riding. and often times the trails are beat, either icey, or completely moguled out. i only spend about 10% of my time off trail, so i was wondering if anyone can recommend a track that wont rob too much top end in a 128" configuration?
also where can i buy track driver ( extroverts ) mounted on the axle already ready to go in?
or can i order new yamaha extros and press them onto my driveshaft ? is there anything that i should know before attempting to swap extros? and input would be awesome im looking forward to tearing up the nytro for another few thousand miles!!!

nytro
a 128 cobra track is a good all around track. Avid drivers are the best.

I'd go with an Ice Attack XT with the conditions you described. Ulmer sells replacement driveshafts with wahl bros drivers installed as well

Sounds good, does anyone know if the wall Boris drivers will last as long as the stock drivers? I don't know how true it is but ive heard in the past people say the wall ones wear out , being a long distance guy I'd want to not replace drivers for awhile again...

From the information Port Yamaha gave me wahls drivers are the way to go. I was going to go with stock ones but they swayed my opinion. As everyone says Avids are the best but if you aren't turboed Wahl's should be fine. I just put 8t wahls on mine.
As it was explained to me the stock drivers are on a seperate wheel than the drivers that run on the internal lugs. Because the extros cannot slip and the internal drivers can this allows for the possibility of the extro sprocket to potentially twist on the shaft while the internal ones stay in place sliping off the interanal drive lugs on the track and ratcheting. this misaligns everything and causes a vibration and the need to replace. This is can happen under hard acceleration when you get good traction and is more likely with with the stock ones because instead of being one whole driver with around 4in or so contacting the drive shaft, the external sprocket is seperate and narrow providing less bite on the shaft (1 or 2 inches of surface area).
Hopefully that makes some sense, if not just call Port Yamaha and they can explain it over the phone much better.

My Wahls have held up very well, had them in three years with around 6000 miles on them. They are showing wear now but have held up well. Would buy them again
