ive been eyeing up the plate since it came out. having to remove my aftermakret plate after every powder ride is starting to eerrkk me..

has anybody had any issues with the roest plate icing?..
in some pics if seen it looked like the lower side panels go on over top of the skid plate?
if so im worried about peeling my side plastics off because this plate will be put to good use.
has anybody had isses with the other panels peeling or getting bent?
is there a way to put the plate on after the side panels are on?

the roest plate looks well built (but thats what i thought of my aftermarket plastic one) but im more worried about how its been performing in the real world..

Personally, I would doubt if there would be a problem. I have not seen or heard of any complaints. Been looking at one myself, have not had any problems with the one I have,,,,,lol (as long as I remember to defrost the sled after every ride,,, though which really sucked at 10:30pm last night)

I have not had any issues with the roest plate so far. Does have some icing but not bad. It is totally smooth so most stuff comes out without having a place to stick.

I have one sitting at the post office will report when i get it installed. My side panels has damage as well

I have had my hood packed with powder and the plate has no issues as far as build up. Great addition and protection. I also have the vent kit and build quility is on par with Yamaha. Great work Peter!

This skid plate is the best thing you can buy for your Nytro.....also the first thing you should buy. The utter lack of protection underneath makes it the "Achilles heel" of the FX Nytro. All the other add ons aren't going to do you any good if you're missing an engine sump, have a rod through the block, or a heat exchanger that resembles the letter V! Buy it....it's so nice, and functional, that it's a shame that you can't see it most of the time.

It was the first thing I did! Once you look at what they have for engine protection you will put it in the same pile as the skis!

so its final.. told the old lady, that i needed this unless she wanted to pay for a new motor later.. .
she told me to order it and have it here for my b day.. oooyyaaahh... should be here b4 the 31 i imagine.

It's on its way!

So 1 ride with the skid plate and mine collected a bunch of snow and ice in between the a arms and bowed the plate down. It is still intact under the motor and no icing concerns there just right in the big void in the subframe. I will remove it and cut a nice hole in the middle to let the snow out!! Other than that it is a great product and 30x better than the stock one!!!
