anybody have any idea how to eliminate or reduce the amout of snow that the snow flap does not block. Do they make a longer snow flap or thought of coming up with some type of extension. ive had a few people complain of the amout of snow that is not blocked

some one sells a cable kit to keep flap from bending to far out, would be easy to make yourself though.
If they dont like the roost man up and pass you or try to

I'll try to measure the difference, but the FX Nytro MTX has a different part number for the rear flap and I believe it's longer as well.

then get a blue ratchet strap and cut it to fit instead of wire cable

You kidding me!!!! Leave it alone so it'll keep someone from riding to close to your a$$. At least thats my take on the matter. The further I keep the guy behind me away, the safer I feel in case I stop fast or get knocked off the sled for some reason.

Are you sure allen? I just looked it up on yamahas site and its the same part number (unless I misread it). 8GT-K7595-00-00 for the mountain, I believe the same for the RTX.

The only thing is that there is SO much snow that ends up on your back! Skyboz and I were riding last weekend, and by the end of the day you couldn't tell what color the back of his coat was!
I would also be willing to bet that hyfax wear and coolant temp would improve if the flap was longer and/or held in place better.
