RPM's wont come down

Got a sled that after you let off the throttle the RPM's stick around 3-4,000 for a couple seconds, rather 10 seconds or more and finally come down. Half choking it brings it down immediately. It only does this like 5 out of 10 times so it's getting annoying. Any ideas? <Carbeurated>

carbs

clean carbs and if you can synic. carbs, clean all 3 jets you will see why.

Same exact thing was happening to me, see thread here. The pictures explain themselves, cleaned the carbs and it made a huge difference in idle, starting, and throttle response.
