I want to find out if anyone else has had this experience and make everyone aware of what Yamaha told me.
My 2006 RS Rage is dead! It left me stranded far from home. The dealer said the cam chain broke teeth on the crankshaft! They did not say what a full engine rebuild would cost. Dealer contacted Yamaha, said Yamaha will do nothing.
I found a bulletin someone posted on this site that says:
"ALL 2005-2007 models with 3 cylinder engines" and then describes the exact problem.
I called Yamaha customer relations, THEY SAID THERE IS NO BULLETIN FOR MY MACHINE!
I was told too bad.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
If you have a 2005-2007 rs, beware! Yamaha WILL NOT do anything and the end result is you are stuck and need a full engine rebuild!
