Hi all.
I recently got a opportunity to own a sled. My buddy got a new machine and offered me his old one fir a great price, i couldnt pass it up. I changed the oil and antifreeze and got it ready. I started the machine and it stared and idled for 10 minutes. After that the thing just started losing power, eventually it just stopped. Tried cgarging it but couldnt charge. So i went out and replaced the battery with a new one. Same thing happened it died out. What could be doing that?

sounds like stator went-maybe, first use a volt meter and get sled started and check to see what it's charging bat off battery-should be around 13.5 to 14.5 volts while sled is running, stator is same as altenator on car. make sure battery is fully charged.

Yes on the stator, but it should run longer than 10 minutes on just the battery...

normally yes on running longer than 10 minutes---unless the battery was poop.
