RTX (after 200 miles)

First let me say this is the best damn sled i have ever rode. There really isn't anything that compares. I ride with all brands, new and older and nothing feels the same as my RTX. Not a mach, not a firecat, not a fusion. All seem old and rough.

I have to admit I was extremely concerned when i spring ordered this sled being my first 4 stroke. I was afraid it wasn't going to be fast or most of all fast off the line. My fears have been put to rest. This sled rips. And after tightening my limiter strap, this sled even handles well.

The first 60 miles it didn't seem very fast. I ran it up a few times (briefly) and it didn't seem to want to go about 9500 rpm. After 100 miles it goes up to 10300 and its just getting faster. After 160 miles this sled just flat out moves.

I couldn't get off this sled. It was time for us to pack it in and stop riding for some beverages, but i just kept wanting to go. I even left and ran it across the lake a few times. I was all smiles. IN fact, i didn't even want to let my wife try this sled. I couldn't get back on my "OLD" viper. It felt like something out of the 80's.

RAce results; raced a modded ZRT600 - killed it. not even a race. Raced a 05 fusion. Beat that too. Didn't run against the mach, he left early but hope to in 2 weeks. Both races 1/2 mile, i was ahead the entire time and by the end over 30-40 on the fusion, way more on the ZRT. I had my helmet off when he came by.

anyways, thanks to some of you for talking me into going 4 stroke,. This sled was well worth the money. And as long as it stays as reliable as my other yamaha's, I will be smiling for the rest of 2006. Even thru the summer. My wife did ride it, now she wants one.

Glad you like it,and it will only get better and faster,are you talking 30thru 40 sleds lengths over the fusion in 1/2 mile run if so what was the fusion running for speed as there speedos are very accurate,so what did you see for speed on the dreameter>>>
