Finally got to log some miles this weekend on the new RTX. Put on about 400 miles in and around Huntsville. Trails were mixed between awesome flat groomed trails to some of the most mogully junk i've ever ridden.May as well get the dumb and minor stuff out of the way. Laid it on its side first day out... lost about 10 minutes till the oil pump primed up, got lucky i guess just waited and the cycle'd the key a few times and she fired back up. Sled is considerably colder than the apex was, heater controls not as nice as the Apex. @ -39 C bars were to cold on low and to hot on high. Also developed a bit of the squeak in the front end. Other than that sled was awesome, rough trail none of my buddy's could keep up, rougher the trail got the more i loved it. Suspension was set up pretty close out of the box for me. Just need to take a few turns out of the front spring and soften up the floats a bit and i think i'm there on setup. Do i miss the power of the apex? Not really sled has more than enough balls for the kind of riding i do and once i get the exhaust and the clutching done i think this is gonna be pretty damn close to the apex on the crotch meter. Running stock skis with a 4" Dooly's buddy had them from his cat so we threw em on seem'd to work pretty good no darting, just lacked a bit of bite once the speeds started climbing up. Picked up a set of Slim Jim 6" on the way home gonna see how they work before i start exploring ski options.
Sleds going into the dealer for its first service this week as he said he would eat the labour and i dont think i have the time to get it done anyways this week. Im thinking the front end squeaking is just a dry bushing/or ball joint. Will update once we figure out where the squeak is coming from. To wrap if all up super happy i sprung for this new sled as it rails the trails and eats the junk way better than any sled i've ridden.

What is this about losing prime to the oil pump? Do all 4 stroke sleds do this? I've had my quads at all sorts of angles and rolled them and never experienced an issue like that. Same with dirt bikes as well as street bikes. You drop your bike at a light in traffic, you can't sit there for 10 minutes waiting for an oil pump. This is strange.

Didnt get to the kill switch until the pump had starved and she shut off due to low oil pressure, guess i was waiting for gravity to do its job. Had to take a leak and have a beverage anyways so seemed like a good time to drink one. Was climbing up a plow pile on the side of the rode, was about 30 seconds from being done riding for the day and forgot to lean into her. (was ready for multiple beverages.) No damage to sled we rolled it back over and no start due to oil pressure so we waited a few had a beer and tried it again and all was good.

Also forgot to mention seems like i got one with a stronger than average motor, as this thing seems to be slamming off the rev limiter mostly from a stop or real slow <5Mph whack of the handle. plan on running OSP's complete setup for exhaust is there a clutch package anyone would recommend
Thanks
Thanks

Let us know what the noise is please. I have the same thing and am curious what it is.

Pretty sure its either the boots or ball joints gonna get some greaseunder the rubbers with a needle and see how that works. Read about that over on ac forums seems like a common problem with this chassis
