Ok went to the lake today. unloaded the sled and all was good.
Went over got some of my gear on and go over to startt he slet to warm it up.
Hit the key, it did something different ,almost like it kicked back.
I looked and tried it again, well it starts up/.
Yellow light on and on the dash is the check engine symbol.
The engine is now reving up and down rather high as well.
And backfiring as well.
I did some test and it looks to me like the throttle cable is pulled out.
I checked the cable as I have higher bar risers on it.
There is lots of play in there, I paid very close attention to be sure it was routed safe.
As well I had ridden it since installing them and all was still fine.
Im going to take it to the dealer in the morning and have them check it out.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

EDIT ADD... The sled would not move under its own power so it had to be pushed onto the trailer , in fact not a fun day out at the lake.
Didnt even get a pass

It sounds like you need to adjust your throttle cable. You must have done something wrong when you put your high riser on it. Thats a sure sign that your throttle overide system is kicking in and not letting it rev high enough to engage the clutch.
