Hi everyone.
I am on my second viper. 2017 ltx dx.
Every once in a while my wife hops on the back and we go for a ride. I notice that I get lots of strange rubbing sounds with no evidence except maybe some fraying on the left side of track. I also notice that it seems to bottom the front of the skid very easily making me concerned about damage. When i say bottoming i mean that it feels like its hitting when approaching a small bump. Set up is...... coupler blocks set on 1, springs set to 3 to accommodate the extra weight, limit straps on hole 2, stock shock and coil pre load in skid and 1 round of pre load added to ski coils. Any ideas? Any worries? If more info needed just ask.

Crank up the center shock spring. Two adults might just be too much for stock springs there are some who added overload leaf like real two ups have. I believe thread is in faq.

That is what is thought to try.....together we weigh about 280 plus gear. So a couple rounds of pre load to the center shock may help?Crank up the center shock spring. Yes. It's a coupled skid so at end of travel both shocks are at play. That is what is thought to try.....together we weigh about 280 plus gear. So a couple rounds of pre load to the center shock may help?

Ok so with my pilot skis 6 inch in center 4 inch on outer 2 rounds of extra preload in ski shocks, 4 rounds of extra preload on center shock, transfer blocks on 1 and torsion set on 3, ride and handles like a dream. If I am solo set torsion springs on 1 and same result. Amazing handling and ride. I also notice less skid and ski drag and now top speed is just over 100mph. I could never get over 95 before.Crank up the center shock spring. Two adults might just be too much for stock springs there are some who added overload leaf like real two ups have.
