Running board traction....something Yamaha friendly?

I have read many places about the awesome opitons available for other manufacturers but not much for those of use with under the running board coolers. Anyone have any other suggestions then Sno slips or the Rox treads ? These are the only things I've found that I can make work on my Apex Mnt. because of the coolers.

I used some stomp pads from a snowboard. cut them into strips. working ok so far. I will post a pic later.

I'm running the ROX sledtreads on my vector and after 4 years no overheating and I don't have the rear heat exchanger either just the front one and the under the boards...Maybe the Apex MTN runs hotter...
