Last year I set my home made Turbo up so it would run the stock pump up to 3-4lbs then the electric one would come on. This seemed to work better for starting and not flooding when you inadvertantly tipped it over when it was running. The set up that MC uses had both these problems. Not only that, it's a back up should the electric pump quit. Had a buddy have an electric pump die and the sled had to be towed off the mountain. The other nice thing with this set up is if you have the carbs off you can jumper the Hobbs switch to pump up the float bowls with gas before starting it so you don't have to crank it till the bowls fill. You also can set fuel pressure with out the motor running by jumping the Hobbs switch. Here is some pictures. When the inter cooler is on it looks the same as a normal one.

I put a "Y" in the carb hoses, when you start the motor it runs off the stock pulse pumps, just after those pumps I put in 96' Polaris XLT one way check valves so the electric pump doesn't pump the gas backwards through the pulse pumps. I put in a light on the dash that comes on when the electric pump comes on then you know the pumps on when your on boost. I installed a new fuel pick up in the gas tank as well, its the same as what was used on a 96' 670 Summit, real big line fits the electric pump. I put a picture of that as well on here.

fuel pumps

very good idea SNOWFEVER ;)! IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU PROBABLY
OWNED FIRST CHOICE/ AEROCHARGER TURBO SLED (S)???? ;)!
yOU COULD DO WITHOUT THE ADTL. FUEL TANK PICK UP IF YOU 'T'
ON ONE OR BOTH OF THE STD. FUEL PICK UP LINES AND, IN THOSE
PULSATION PUMPS THERE IS REED VALVES (ONE WAY) AT THERE OUTPUT
SO NO NEED FOR CHECK VALVES. THE KITS MANUFACTURERS INCLUDING MYSELF SHOULD CONSIDER APPLYING YOUR IDEA ;)!
