RIP 04 Viper-S
Hi Guys. I've been searching all over the web trying to find photos of the various Yamaha mirror options. I ordered the factory "Venture " style mirror kit that bolts to the windshield, however now I've found 2 other mirror kits that I would like to see photos of mounted and also get feedback on.
1] RX1 Inside Windshield Kit, part #SMA-8FMAR-KT. These look to mount inside the windshield flares.
2] RX1 Custom Touring Mirror Kit, part #SMA-8FA77-00-00. These mount to the hood/fairing, however once again I cannot find any photos of them installed.
If any of you could provide photos and/or feedback on either set I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Can't say anything about the second two styles, but I had the venture style on an 03 rx and they look and function very nice! A little effort on the install but worth the effort...

Mine has the windshield mounted mirrors which do work quite good.

Spitting image of my sled minus mirrors, add float shocks and barkbuster front arms and WRP seat. LOOKS SWEET
Probably not helpful on mirror question though, but nice...

Yeah, that's the kit that I ordered. I think it's probably the best. I found a photo of the cowl mounted wind deflector / mirrors and don't like them at all. So I think I'll stick with these

I have the ones that mount to the side of the cowl but never installed them because they cover the RX-1 graphics. I might try them if I was going to paint the sled but I decided instead just to buy a set of cheap convex automotive mirrors and made a simple bracket out of 1/2" x 1/8" steel. They mount inside the windshield so you can only see them from behind. Good enough to see lights behind you.

I did just install a set of GYTR shocks tonight. They should be a real nice upgrade and I also added a 13mm sway bar to. It should handle much better now. These sleds may be getting older, but it still makes me happy.Spitting image of my sled minus mirrors, add float shocks and barkbuster front arms and WRP seat. LOOKS SWEET
