this seems to be a problem lately when cold, just spun in new plugs the other day, so dont think its plugs, it backfires and sound s horrible untill you get a few miles on it. hessitates a while also. but once its warmed right up it seems fine. Could that be the coils acting up, i know they were arcing?also it runs fine when warm so thinkin the carbs are good

Whopper-- I'm over in Cold Lake, AB and was wondering what you are running for jetting with your ECP.
I was out today and it ran great to start with then after two trips across the 1/4 section it would bog real bad on top end. Still lots of pucnh on bottom and take off but nothing at full throttle. The sled is used and the old owner has all hood vents covered with nylon stockings.
The snow is all powder and knee deep. Thought carb ice so I turned on coolant and it got worse so I know it is a rich problem. Tons of steam underhood. Do you have open or covered vents?? I think I will be pulling them, there was lots of snow underhood even with them so I hope it is just all the steam with nowhere to get out.

hey culvert, your filters are just froze up, thats all.thgat happens in the fine powder snow when realy cold out. Also leave the carb heat on just a little bit

ya, probably, also. do yuou have prefilter, if not get them. culvert, i finally sold the 600 twin i got from you years ago, had to ebay it.i bet you really miss the old 600 not

Are you talking 600 motor? I never sold a whole sled?
I still have my 97 600MtnMax but it needs a rebuild, popped it last trip to the mountains.
As for this RX.. I have the K&N's with prefilters and then the vents are all covered aswell. Thanks for the help.
