Well w/some playing around and freedies kit it now goes 115 on my brand new gps GarminEtrex legend wow i love it,now bigwood lake in jackman is at 1400 ft above sealevel day was 35 degrees kit had 165 mains geared down 24/40 HH loaded to 64.5 grams stock primary spring, running rpm out of hole was spinning to 10,300 fall back to 9800 and climb back up to 10,000-10,100 cond.bare ice w/6" of wind blown snow patches and ice patches and ice speedo 128-131 gps 114-115 my weight 270 dressed oh yea had my team on w/54/34 54/36 but needed the 54/34 to pull those rpms tried stock secondary silver at 70 and 90 w/51/41 hauck could only pull 9800-10,000 now i will lighten the tip some next time and get it to run 10,400 plus where it likes to run, still a fun day but my buds pesky 04 rev 800 ho fast for a stocker he now has 13 hrs on it and 350 miles total and box stock it runs 114 best and 113 when we run togeather i only get him by 2-3 lengths this is 5,000 ft. now i know i can run better but this is still good, and yes we swaped sleds almost same results,my weight of almost 110 lbs over him does not change much,we both think rx1 geared to low,i will put back stock and get rpms back to 10,500 and rerun again, now on all snow both sleds run 108 gps very good, oh yea my sled had freedies kit and ski-doo dullies w/alot of ski pressure and a bent carbide and spindle housing, but gotta love the cat skid this thing had track hanging 2" loose and no rachet,of course not many studs left after those nice trails lol started w/stock track and 144 half and half thrusters carbides. 8)

Hi john,do you mean bone stock clutching,if you do than no i have not,i dont like the way they ramp up so slowly, the hh work very good w/stock spring,i was thinking of taking some tip weight off and maybe trying the g/g/g or g/w/g primary spring what do you think john, now was it you that had yours run 119 something right? Now i think if i gear back up w/the 38 bottom and get the rpms back where it runs the best 10,500 it may do 119 too,i hope. Any ideas? Thanks pete ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

Ive had our 04 Rx-1 127 on speedo im guessing around 115-117 real speed. That was with 302 miles on it it now has 450 but havent raced my shaddow with it since 302.Ours is revving right under 10,000 Rpm's hoping to gain some more with more miles. The thing is fast all you hear is wind cant hear the sled at all  Warm that day close to 40*f maybe when it gets colder it will go faster do to cold air produces power i want to see 130 on it next time out sure is smelly after them long runs.Keep us updated on how it progresses

Hi topgun, that is still good speed,i only got mine up to between 125 and 128 a few times but did see 130 flash once while on very good cond. racing my cousin w/his mod 800 xcr yes he was much faster, his had radared at 123 now i believe most all rx1 speedo are off between 12-20 now i say this because i now run a new Garmin etrex and when batteries are fresh it is very accurate,i have been radared to and it was preety much the same, but the speedos are pff the faster you go,so just because the speed saids one thing may be a little different at higher speeds, because at 113-114 speedo gps is 104 now that would suggest at 130 speedo would be 119 not so 115 and this was backed up on several passs to boot,by having gps on me i can stop any time and check max. speed, now you want to see average speed what a joke, man do we do more stoping than most of us think. ![Big Grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

Snowbeast, I'd love a chance to tune an RX1, but I don't have enough pop cans to take back and buy my own, ![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
The reason I ask about the stock clutch weights, is Yamaha is historically good on top end with stock clutching. These light down low/heavy up top weights just pull and pull on top. Couple that with fine tuning rpms and an after market helix for more shift out, and you might have a great top end set up. It would take alot longer to get to top speed though, so any short distances would be out. But a half mile, mile, 2 mile deal would be very interesting to test. Then put Topgun on it, he's 120lbs after a steak dinner!

Yea john now i thought the little guys would be better for top end too,but w/my little buddy on and he weighs #140lbs wet lol it did not go any faster on top,but in short race 1/4 mile last year he did get 2 mph more than i did,now i think wind resistance is a biger factor, neither one of us tucked in much,it may of helped some, and yes i was saying, last year that my stock weights were faster than the hc i had.

speed
i was the one who posted the speed of 119.2 and that was on radar in 1500 ft stk gearing dalton clutching and 137.5 mains with needles rased one clip pos at +20c at 10500 rpm and thats all of the gearing it had nothing left. speedo was reading 140 mph. this year it should do better with the air box mods and 10 tooth drivers 8)

Hi Beast......... I found the stock YSY too soft on top and went to YWY or GWG running the HC at 59.73 grams total. Top speed 132 (speedo) running the TEAM 58-38 .46. I'd love to try the 54-34 helix like you have. Getting sick of throwing money at this thing though
:?
Tried the OSO but had a strange shift almost identical to your running the HH with stock spring. Went back to GWG for 10,500 initial backing down to 10,100. Optimum I'm shooting for would be 10,300 initial creeping to 10,500 and hold.
How's Jackman after this weather?
I'm booked at Bishops for 4 days the third week in Feb.
Hope this weather changes and fast.

Never heard of anyone's numbers coming close to those.
I'd like to talk to your friends!

128 MPH on Radar?
No offense, but I think the gun is out of calibration. 128 mph on a Stock Warrior with a clutch kit is huge. That would be about 143 on the speedo. Maybe downhill with a Big tailwind? Anyway you have a fast sled. You ahould be happy.
