Rx1 stock muffler question

Do these stock mufflers have anything on the inside of them? Baffles? anything that a person could cut open the outside of the muffler and remove and weld it back up? I have been hearing excell pipes and MAN I want an exhaust system on mine. I actually want to buy one lol.

Hey Hulk,

If you click on the link in my sig. I have pics of my cute little tunnel dump exhaust.
With the extra baffle in it its not bad untill you pin the flipper. Then it scares small kids and old ladys. I think that was a quote from Rock.

Come on a TY ride and you will hear all sorts of exhausts. Granted its a few months away and the itch is becomming OVERWHELMING

Lol you guys think you have it bad? I bought my 04 Rx1 with 147 MILES ON IT!!!! I got to ride it 1 day last year for about 4 hours, very late in the season. Lol so yeah I know all about that itch man its tearing me up lol.

Come on now Kinger you know thats why there is an off season so we can build them bigger and badder.

Besides if we ran 12 months out of the year the old lady would file for divorce and take that bag of bolts as part of the setllement.

P.S. even the guys in Nascar know this thats why they don't race during snowmobile season. If they would only move Daytona to May it would be a perfect symbiotic relationship

Hey guys whats up? Hey Im in need of some help on the muffler. I have a guy that has an aftermarket brand muffler that he wants to sell to me and the price is perfect for me right now. Im not sure what brand it is, its not marked anywhere, Im sure by the pictures its not a sno-stuff which is what I thought it would be but its not. My question is, does the Rx1 and the Rx1 mountain model us the same pipe? I know it has to be longer for the mountain model but will it still be able to be hooked up? I was wondering if maybe on the mountain model if they just put a clamp on the pipe where it ends on the non mountain model and just extended it or am I way off? The pipe that goes up under the tunnel on the one Im looking to purchase has an X pipe in it, does that ring any bells for you guys as to what brand it is?

Do you think I will be able to make this work without any major issues?
