I've ridden them both...Better in the twisties, maybe...overall comfort and ride quality goes to my 05 RX1 hands down.

RX SRX
I have had a few of each and the SRX's were always quicker and faster until I added a turbo to the RX1 now there is nothing that will touch it. It may sound like a big investment but I am sure if you ask most anyone who has done it they would do it again and pay twice as much. You can easily recoup most of your $$ for the turbo by selling it seperate when getting a new sled. Otherwise it is going to take a real pro tunner to get your RX1 to take a SRX and just forget about catching him on the trails. Your best chance catching him will be when he runs out of GAS.

I've never raced an SRX, but remember YAMAHA claiming an 03 RX- 1 would have 6 sleds lengths on a SRX.......

SRX vs RX-1
It really is funny that people can claim anthing they want. People have said the 05 RX-1 was 4-5 sleds quicker than the 04 and that the 06 Apex GT is 3-4 sleds quicker than the 05 RX-1. Do I think that the Apex GT is 9 sleds quicker than my 04 RX-1? Don't really know but will find out this winter as my nephew bought a Apex GT.

. different sleds react different and like you said anyone can say anything. it all boils down to what's done to what sled and what day it is. i myself did smear a 98 srx, does that mean i can beat all- NO hell for all i know that one might have been a lemon.

In our group we've got an 04 RX and an 01 SRX. The RX has CPR clutching and the SRX was clutched by my brother. The RX runs 114 in 2000ft and the SRX runs 118...from bottom to top the SRX runs away, no contest. I really think the ripsaw is what slows the RX down.
